    Teaching Staff

      Mr Ed Anderson

      Headteacher

      Mr Anderson was appointed in September 2023 as Headteacher, having previously been the Deputy Headteacher at Burgh le Marsh Primary School. Mr Anderson is the Designated Safeguarding Lead, Reading Lead, Physical Education Lead, and teaches maths in Year 4.

      Reception

      Miss Rinfret joined us in September 2023 and also leads Early Years.

      Miss Lawley joined us in September 2024 and also leads the teaching and learning of Religious Education.

      Mrs Boswell joined us in January 2023 and also leads the teaching and learning of writing.

      Year 3

      Miss Wickland joined us in September 2014. Miss Wickland is our Deputy Safeguarding Lead and also leads the teaching and learning of the Arts.  Miss Wickland is in school Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

      Year 4 and Year 5

      Mrs Shaw joined us in December 2015 and is our Senior Teacher.  Mrs Shaw also leads the teaching and learning of Maths, History & Phonics.

      Mr Goddard joined us in September 2018 and is our SENDCo.  Mr Goddard also leads the teaching and learning of Science, Computing and D.T.

      Mrs Fountain is a Relief Teacher and helps to cover classes when teachers have APP or Leadership time.

      Mrs Whelpton is a Relief Teacher who teaches Year 6 when Mr Goddard has his SEND time.

      Admin Assistant, Deputy Safeguarding Lead and ELSA

      Mrs Brown joined us in December 2017 volunteering in the office. She now works part-time as our Admin Assistant, Deputy Safeguarding Lead and Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA).

      Teaching Assistant and Breakfast Club

      Mrs Cawthorn was appointed in April 1999 and looks after the children at Breakfast Club and is a Teaching Assistant.

      Midday Supervisory Assistant and Cleaner

      Mrs Chapman joined us in 2016 as a Midday Supervisory Assistant and she also helps Mrs Seymour to keep the school clean and tidy.

      Miss Coppin joined us in February 2026 and looks after the children at the After School Fun Club.

      Mrs Davis joined us in November 2007 and is a Teaching Assistant.

      1:1 Teaching Assistant

      Mrs Evans joined us in September 2019, originally as a volunteer in our Little Explorers.  However, we are delighted that she is now working as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant.

      Higher Level Teaching Assistant

      Mrs Kirk was appointed in April 1997. Mrs Kirk achieved Higher Level Teaching Status in 2006 and teaches a phonics group in the mornings and supports the Reception teacher in the afternoons.

      Mrs Le’Gate joined the Little Explorers’ teaching team in September 2017. Mrs Le’Gate works Monday to Thursday

      Mrs Lomas joined us in January 2020 as a 1:1. Mrs Lomas also looks after our children at the After School Fun Club.

      Caretaker

      Mrs Seymour joined us in 2000 as our Caretaker and is in school at the beginning and end of the school day. Mrs Seymour also looks after those children going home on school transport.

      Mrs Storr has been a part of school since 2007 and is currently our Administrator. Mrs Storr works in the office every day and is always happy to help!
